there were so NOT 104 days of summer vacation this year. thanks phineas.

we have already been in school a week and everyone's favorite sub has already worked 3 days. but i sure do like it over at the high school. those are some great kids. some are dorks. some are jocks. some are toooo cool. but i think i like them all.

i have been in the closet lately. working on some stuff for some challenges over at http://www.scrapgal.com/

and i did this one at scrapblog.com for a scrapgal challenge. this month is spa day over there. every week there is a new spa/relaxing-themed challenge. this tour de france one is for last weeks about out dream vacation.

yeah- how's that! mike's big thing is cycling and i'm the one that wants to go to the tour. man he sure is lucky.

haha.

ew. the dryer just stopped....gotta run!

another job interview today.

i am not fretting over it but damn, mike is.

WE picked out what i am going to were and then last night, he asked me if i had been thinking about the interview-going over it.

"remember, don't be toooo chatty. don't tell them too much- only what they ask."

dude.

i give good interview. and i told him so. he KNOWS that- maybe he just forgot.

so this morning, i woke up and just shake my head.......

last night i had a dream. i went to the interview. looked cute & all. and didn't have on a shirt.

WTF!

this is ALL his fault.

but luckily in my dream i was early enough that the lady that i am interviewing with said i had some time to go home & put a shirt on.

well thank gosh.

(the worst part.....i was NOT mortified to be bopping around town sans top. ~THUD~)

2. then i am nosing around sis and see where becca started an entire thread about my hair. holy smokes. serious blushing here- and it's BAD when i blush.
3. and to top it off i get this email from bree over at scrapping across the universe where they picked me to be on their design team.
**thud** talk about overwhelming.

oh-oh-oh and then i was in montgomery and managed to find some yo-yo makers. FINALLY. got the 1.8" one & have already gotten busy with it this morning. jury's still out on if i need any more though.

THEN went to this meeting for the city- i am on the special events committee- and it was a big thing with all the other groups there. and my committee picked me to represent them on this OTHER committee doing some christmas stuff (lighting the bridge & all)
i have to take some bridge pictures- so i'll show them to y'all so you can see what i am talking about- it's a big to-do.

just wanted to share the news. now just have to find a paying job :-P
lots to do today- sitting around and all you know. so let me get on it!

i did this page for . the challenge was a page about yourself. hhmmmm...never really sat down & just done that. i tried to be honest about it- but you never know.....i did get the trash-mouth, loud, pack-rat part right.
and i DID fix the spelling on magnificent. lucy said that i was magnificent so i just went with it.

oh dude. i got my hair cut yesterday afternoon- eekkk. it's short but prob not short enough. i'll have to play with it some more before i can decide- so NO, i am not posting a pict of it until then.

catching up on laundry today since we had company all weekend & NOTHING got done. have youever noticed how good your clothes smell when you change detergent? mmmmmmm.

my blog is now 25 months old and i have posted a grand total of like 8 times. no, i didn't count- but it's a good guess.
i have been busy getting crafty wit it lately. (sing along now--na'na'-na'na'-na'na'na'na) made a TON of cards. going to etsy them real soon!! y'all be ready.
but the best thing that i have made is this...
i swear it is my fave thing that i have made in ages. makes me happy.

oh got to run now, but i promise that i won't be a stranger if you won't!

Been gone for a bit. Actually, I have been home but summer is just busy, I'll tell ya!
I did manage to take a road trip with the girls to Greensboro, AL. Just an overnighter to hang with one of my oldest friends in the world & her 2 kiddos. Went to one junk store while there & only spent 10 bucks! I mean, there were mountains of junk and I parted with $10. sad.
Haven't been doing much else.
Well, I did read the new Harry Potter book...twice actually.
All I can say is WOW! I thought it was great. I have friends who feel otherwise- but they're a bunch of NINNIES! Nuff said.
I have been working on some craftyness too. I did a pile of ATCs for a swap at ScrapInStyleTV. Pictures must be posted later (camera battery is charging right now!)
I am working on some cards too. I haven't done any of those in ages and they are so fun & easy to make. I'll try to take a few picts of them too.

I think I am finally getting the hang of this blog BS. Check out my videos at the bottom. Yeah, I got tunes. I went to MusicJeasus.com and voi-loi-- VIDEOS.
So freakin cool. I got a little Justin Timberlake -mmm-hmm I do love some JT. Well, I kept on looking & lo-and-behold there was Will Smith. Let the videos keep playing and you will see the rest. Yeah, I have a playlist. This is almost as much fun as my iPod. Now if only there was some way to get my laundry folded on my blog. What to say.......
I keep meaning to get in my closet & work some. But it's just not happening. Maybe tonight.
Cole's unloading the dishwasher. Lu's keeping her from doing it quickly. I'm bribing both of them to get it done so and we will go to SnoBiz That's a self-serving bribe huh!?
My dog has fleas. My cat has fleas. They have both been banished from the house & are NOT digging the heat.

I got out an old deck of cards & am going to turn them into ArtCards- maybe tonight I'll work on those. I want to make a brad board too. If only I had somewhere to hang it.
Is this not the coolest thing to look at or what. I love the free flowing, no rules way it is. Mine will prob look like soldiers lined up for parade.
I'll tell you what. That Jeanette has some wicked ideas.

i thought it was a good day

we all slept late. when we did get up, we went out to lunch. monster huge chinese buffett with sushi. the kiddos wanted sushi- who were we to argue.

then we finally went to see shrek the third. we probably laughed too hard. i think that mike & i like the shrek movies just as much as the girls.
just got done with din-din. bbq chicken outside on the deck--in the HEAT. now everyone is winding down.
i wasn't able to get crafty today, but i will tomorrow.
